Founded in 1762, this colonial tavern now serves as a hub for great food and drinks. This tavern serves appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, amazing entrees, and unforgettable desserts. Trust us when we tell you that you will want to try out Jean Bonnet Tavern’s oatmeal pie. Each month, you will find new features on this tavern’s menu. If you are a fan of alcohol, Jean Bonnet makes some fantastic cocktails and serves an assortment of beer and wine.
2. Rizzo’s Restaurant
Rizzo’s Restaurant, founded in 1924, started out as a general store/meat market. In 1937, the family decided to open a restaurant at the location. This restaurant offers a variety of family specialties, such as eggplant parmigiana, breaded veal cutlet, and chicken captiva. This menu also includes appetizers, salads, steak, pork, seafood, and pasta options. If you are near Indian Lake, you will not want to miss the chance to try Millie’s famous sauce!
3. Tillie’s at the Clubhouse
If you are staying at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort or close by, Tillie’s at the Clubhouse is a fantastic restaurant to try out. Due to its location on the resort’s eighteen-hole golf course, Old Course, Tillie’s breakfast menu has a variety of fun, golf-themed meals. On the all-day menu, you will find a variety of delicious meal options, such as a grilled vegetable kebab, coffee-rubbed sirloin steak, and maple barbecued salmon filet.
4. Golden Eagle Inn
The Golden Eagle Inn was built in 1794 and is another one of the oldest buildings near Indian Lake. This restaurant serves unforgettable lunches and dinners. Each plate created at Golden Eagle Inn is a work of art. On their lunch menu, you will find a variety of pizzas (including the intriguing pig and peach pizzette), salads, sandwiches, and appetizers. The dinner menu offers pizzettes, burgers, pasta, and a variety of entrees. If you are a fan of heavier liquors, be sure to check out the upstairs whiskey bar!
5. Tomahawk Lounge
Looking for a place to relax and enjoy a drink or a meal? Of all of the restaurants we recommend, the Tomahawk Lounge offers the most relaxed atmosphere. This lounge offers an assortment of typical pub snacks and dinners, like pizza, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Additionally, you can try the Tomahawk Lounge’s main courses, such as their chicken marsala, turkey pot pie, or ribeye steak. Be sure to come here to enjoy watching sports with some fellow fans or to catch some karaoke and live music.
